Wow, finally something went surprisingly right on this trip!
After mooching free internet from Starbucks, Mang-Git and I grabbed dinner at Currywurst (a German fast food chain that serves sliced sausages literally swimming in ketchup and curry powder) and wandered over to our future apartment to meet with the landlord, Mathias. Mathias was really down-to-earth and seemed more interested in getting to know me and Mang-Git than trying to shove a contract in our face and collect a deposit. So anyway, that went well and we're now officially subletting a room on Kunibertsgasse, which is 2 blocks away from the Hauptbahnhof and the Kolner Dom. Works starts tomorrow and I'm glad that everything is falling into place so nicely!
